The Levittown Adult Continuing Education program has served the Levittown and surrounding communities for over fifty years. The Levittown school district is made up of Levittown and parts of Wantagh and Seaford. Approximately 17,500 residents are in the Levittown school district.
All courses of the program are self sustaining and run at no cost to tax payers. Fees are adjusted to maintain this self sustaining status.
The course is supervised by Mr. Kenneth Walden who is a music teacher at General Douglas MacArthur High School.
The Fall (October through December) and Spring (March through May) sessions offer courses held in four buildings, General Douglas MacArthur High School, Jonas E. Salk Middle School, Division Avenue High School and Levittown Memorial Education Center.
Superintendent of Schools: Dr. Tonie McDonald
Assistant Superintendent for Instruction: Mr. Todd Winch
Supervisor of Adult Education: Mr. Kenneth Walden
The Levittown School District is committed to providing equal educational opportunity for all students, and equal employment opportunity for all persons, without regard to color, religion, national origin, marital status, age, sex, or disability.
With the closing of schools in New York State until May 15th the spring adult education program is officially cancelled.
Prorated refunds will be given for all remaining cancelled classes. The only exception will be the Defensive Driving class. Since this class requires a completed six hour course for point deductions and discounts, a full refund will be given since the full six hour requirement can not be fulfilled. You should receive your refund check by the end of May.
